Due to unforeseen circumstances offered as
an unfinished restoration project
Untouched & stored in a dry barn for the
last 30+ years. This car has been in a time warp and is the
real deal which competed in the prestigious "World Cup
Rally" in 1974. and still retains many of its original
features.
Due to its exceptional storage conditions
, the body shell is in a superb rust free condition. Last
year the car was bead blasted inside and out , removing every
inch of paint , underseal , body filler etc leaving it now
in primer and ready for inspection. The chassis is very clean
, the body work requires a good paint man to prepare and top
coat the car.This original type 49 shell is Fitted with full
roll cage , twin fuel tanks , steel bubble arches , the original
anti tramp bars and a pair of period rear turrets , also the
rear under floor stone guard is still in place.
Superb clean rust free project, with a good
worth while end product value , it does require a full paint
and assembly , Comes with most parts needed for reassembly
, Bilsteins dampers , WCXM , Close ratio gear box , LSD axle
, brakes , dash , wiring loom , fuel tanks , magnesium wheels
, sump guard , spot lights etc etc . With the sale of the
car is an original 300 page hard back book which was published
after the rally giving a stage by stage account of all the
incidents along the way, a comprehensive list of entrants
etc. also going with the sale is a lot of the parts to help
re assemble the car.
