Rally car Preparation
Having
completed the 2005 RAC Open rally (Finished 2nd overall) despite the mechanical
failures we encounted we managed to bring the car home without a mark on her .
After competing in a highbred high spec escort for many years , during its Winter
rebuild we have stood back and looked at the direction in which Escort rallying
seems to be going and we have decided to convert our car to Classic/Historic spec
for 2006 .
2006
With
car now converted to historic/ classic spec , we tested/rallied the car on two
seperate rallies . Mid Wales stages , finishing 3rd O/A in classics with a new
co driver Howard Pridmore then again on the Rally Yorkshire with a few more revised
changes , retired with a broken rotor arm after setting some fastest stage times
O/A and while leading the classics.. Preparartion for the 2007 British Historic
Rally Championship is now under way .
