MK1 Escort Mexico Unfinished
project Rally / Sprint car. This
car has been parked in a dry garage for last 18 years and slowly been prepared
for sprints/ rallying etc. The body shell is in a good rust free condition , the
mechanical parts are fitted , the car just requires finishing off and a respray.
So a great project for the Escort enthusiast ! Bodyshell Unarched
type 49 spec shell , very sound and rust free in all the important areas (See
photos) floors , chassis rails , A pillars etc. anti tramp bars , Panard rod ,
strengthend & gusseted , Full SD cage with door bars , large gearbox tunnel
, seat subframes etc. car fitted with new gen Ford Mexico front wings etc. Car
in need of respray after all this time. Please call for further bodywork description. Engine 1700
x/flow engine , 711m block fitted with high compression pistons , Stage 2 rally
camshaft , and worked cylinder head to match. Currently fitted with twin choke
weber carb, & branch manifold Transmission RS
Alloy bell housing , BGH Geartech sporting close ratio type 9 gearbox with rose
jointed quick shift lever, Single piece propshaft , English rear axle fitted with
anti tramp bars ..diff unknown spec /ratio as not check at time of advert. Suspension Bilstein
300/120 tarmac struts with RTM ,145Lbs springs minus 3" , new twin cam anti
roll bar , anti dive , WCXM,quick rack, poly bushed, on
car adustable TCA's,116lbs single
leaf decambered springs & Adj
spax. Adjustble anti tramp bars , Panard
rod etc. Other 6
Dial dash , be spoke wiring , Big
header rad,new top tint lami screen ,new window rubbers,
new tyres on RS polished rims etc.
